A Solitary Piper is a mixture of poetic forms—sonnets, villanelles, couplets, a few limericks, and even a terza rima—reflecting Marta's sensitive views of life and love in the New England countryside.

Marta is an award-winning poet, with three previous book publications of translations from the French. She is currently Co-President of the Maine Poets Society.
